Once-forgotten interior design details that will be everywhere in 2026

Curves instead of straight lines

Rounded sofas, arched headboards, circular kitchen islands—even architecture is embracing softness. Curves aren’t just beautiful; they create intimacy, guide movement, and make spaces feel welcoming.

Texture as the new luxury

Velvet, wool, linen, rattan… Rooms are once again meant to be touched. Texture is no longer just an accent—it’s the foundation. Patterns are also making a quiet but confident comeback: searches for printed sofas have risen by 79%, and interest in wall murals has grown by 70%.

“Dressed” interiors

Cornices, moldings, lined drapes, bed skirts—details once deemed “outdated” now lend character and depth to spaces. This is especially true in new apartments, where architectural expressiveness is often lacking.
